BROWNIES --My basic recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
 

 

Directions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl until well blended. Melt the butter or margarine. Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter and then mix in with the dry ingredients. Mix untill almost smooth, very small lumps.
  2. Pour batter into a buttered and floured 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350 F. for 20 to 30 minutes, or untill a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 min.
  5. Cut and eat!
